Amana Tool Goes Green

Amana Tool formally announced the company’s green manufacturing initiatives that adhere to stringent environmental protection laws. The company’s environmental standards, including recent energy conservation measures, mandate material recycling, water conservation and air quality preservation. In addition to tool production guidelines, Amana Tool also features a number of unique, environmentally friendly insert tool designs that save raw materials. Amana Tool’s main production facilities recycle all waste products, including metals, oils and leftover raw materials such as carbide powder, reducing the cost and environmental impact of the tool manufacturing process. The factories feature state-of-the-art clean air systems that prevent toxic emissions into the environment. Amana also recently began energy conservation practices to lower the company’s energy consumption at workstations and compressor locations throughout each facility.

Amana Tool also promotes preservation of raw materials through its innovative tool design technology. The company has a large range of cutting tools that feature replacement carbide knives that can easily be changed, enabling users to keep the tool body instead of replacing the entire tool. This technology not only saves money but also saves raw materials such as steel and other alloys.
