Amana Tool Goes Green

Amana Tool formally announced the company’s green manufacturing initiatives that adhere to stringent environmental protection laws. The company’s environmental standards, including recent energy conservation measures, mandate material recycling, water conservation and air quality preservation. In addition to tool production guidelines, Amana Tool also features a number of unique, environmentally friendly insert tool designs that save raw materials. Amana Tool’s main production facilities recycle all waste products, including metals, oils and leftover raw materials such as carbide powder, reducing the cost and environmental impact of the tool manufacturing process. The factories feature state-of-the-art clean air systems that prevent toxic emissions into the environment. Amana also recently began energy conservation practices to lower the company’s energy consumption at workstations and compressor locations throughout each facility.

Amana Tool also promotes preservation of raw materials through its innovative tool design technology. The company has a large range of cutting tools that feature replacement carbide knives that can easily be changed, enabling users to keep the tool body instead of replacing the entire tool. This technology not only saves money but also saves raw materials such as steel and other alloys.

New Tajima Chalk Line

Tajima ToolsFresh off the boat, Tajima Tools introduces the Tajima CR301JF CHALK-RITE Jam Free fast wind chalk snap line. From what we hear it performs as good as its high price counterpart but does not come with die cast aluminum case or the bright distinctive coloration.

The new CHALK-RITE™ Jam Free offers premium snap line features at a mid-price point of only $14.99. Its an affordable chalk line with Premium features but mid level price...for those not willing or able to jump up to $30.

Ideal for framers, roofers and anyone tasked with large-scale layout projects the CHALK-RITE™ Jam Free features 100ft. of premium-grade 1.0 mm braided nylon / polyester line with matching felt applicator that makes an exceptionally bold and uniform marking line that virtually eliminates the guesswork in finding true edge-of-line. It also features a convenient line hold that auto disengages on rewind and smooth 5-gear drive winding with a new patent pending design that prevents jamming. Thick elastomer wraps the case to protect against drops, etc. and to provide sure-grip performance, and a positive-locking gasket-sealed cap opens to an oversize chalk fill neck for easy refilling from bottle or box

Champion Cutting Tool At Work

Yankees Stadium, home of the New York Yankees, has been rebuilt and the first regular-season game is scheduled to be played on April 16, 2009. Satellite Plumbing Corp, was contracted to install soda lines at the "new" Yankee Stadium. Drilling 4" diameters holes in stainless steel plates 1/4" thick; was required to get the job done. The Plumbers used an 18 volt cordless drill and a Champion Ct7 carbide tipped hole cutter to complete the entire job. The crew easily cut the steel plates in numerous Pepsi stands located throughout the stadium, in time and on scheduled for operation. Play ball!
